Spider-Man has always been one of the most iconic characters in the MCU, and arguably also one of the most loved. And ever since Sony came with the announcement that Spider-Man 3 was about to start the production process, there has been quite a buzz. As of now, we know for sure it would be a sequel to the previous movie Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, which supervillain does Peter Parker face this time? Is there any plot twist that Sony has hinted upon? Well, keep reading!
Spider-Man 3: Villains That Peter Might Face
Well, as of now, we know for sure that Quentin Beck, a.k.a. Mysterio would be a part of this movie. Considering what a devious schemer he turned out to be with his powers of illusion, how Peter tackles him is something we can’t wait to watch! Also, some of the pictures from the Sony sets have hinted at a return of arch enemies Dr. Octopus and Electro. However, there have been speculations about another supervillain as well!
This is where things get really interesting! Remember Peter’s chubby best friend from school Ned Leeds? Well, as per one of the stories, Ned Leeds could be the next villain that Spider-Man has to face!
Hobgoblin has been one of the treacherous villains that Spiderman has had to face, someone that keeps on attacking him. However, if the fans are to be believed, this time Leeds would be brainwashed into becoming Hobgoblin! According to The Amazing Spiderman, 1983 Peter would have no option but to kill Hobgoblin, and Leeds too would perish with him, just before he could say who brainwashed him.
PS. Talking of brainwashing, we know Mysterio’s pretty good at it, don’t we? (Just another theory!)
Spider-Man 3: Cast
Well as of now, here is the plausible cast that we are looking at:
- Tom Holland as Peter Parker
- Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds (maybe Hobgoblin)
- Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio
- Jamie Foxx as Electro
- Alfred Molino as Dr. Octopus
Well, some people might argue that Mysterio is dead, but considering the impact that he had in Spider-Man: Far From Home, is he?
What Do We Know About Peter Parker’s Disappearance
Peter Parker’s disappearance? What? Well, hold your horses! The thing is, recently a story highlight went up on Flash Thompson‘s IG account, spideyno1fan_, where Sony has hinted that how Spider-Man 3 may start off.
As of now, we know Spider-Man has disappeared. Also, as you can the post is from Mysterio’s dimension where he proves that Peter Parker is nothing but a “masked madman” who is responsible for his death. Well, we can just wait and watch! When?
